Sathya Unar Sabha, a non-profit trust, organized a three-day student engagement program, Gurukulam, from December 24 to 26, 2022, at Coutralam Arivu Thirukovil, Coutralam, Tamil Nadu. The event aimed to give awareness to the students of age group 14-25 and promote personal growth, skill development, and environmental awareness. The event witnessed the participation of 40 students from various educational backgrounds.
The event kickstarted with an inaugural ceremony, by our beloved Guru TKS Ayya. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of education.
The event comprised several informative and interactive sessions that helped the students enhance their skills and knowledge. The students were taught the techniques of Agna and Shanthi meditation, which helped them improve their focus and concentration. They also learned about the benefits of Yoga and its role in maintaining physical and mental health.
One of the main highlights of the event was the session on career guidance and motivation. Mr. Solomon delivered an enlightening speech on digital marketing and advised the students on how to build a successful career in this field. The students gained valuable insights into the world of digital marketing, its scope, and opportunities. He motivated the students and shared his insights on digital marketing, emphasizing the importance of digital platforms in the current era.
Another crucial aspect of the event was the focus on environmental awareness. Ms. Sindhuja, a Software Engineer and an environmentalist, delivered an enlightening session on environmental issues, pollution, and waste management. The students learned about various sustainable practices that can be adopted in their daily lives to conserve the environment.
The event also included sessions on health and snake rescue operations. Sheikh Hussain explained the different types of snakes in Tamilnadu and about the rescue operations carried out. He also explained how and where to get treatment for snake bites. Dr. Jayanthi, a renowned medical practitioner and child specialist, Govt. Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital, Tirunelveli, explained to the students the importance of health and healthy habits. The students asked their questions/doubts on growth and health and got them clarified with the Doctor.
The event also included fun and engaging activities, such as trekking to Athri Mountain, campfire, showcasing individual talents, and playing games. These activities provided a platform for the students to showcase their creativity, talents, and team spirit. The campfire was particularly special, where the students bonded over music, dance, and storytelling.
Mr.Sivakumar, PA to the Collector, Tenkasi, gave a motivational talk and distributed certificates to the students.
The event concluded with the volunteers who helped in organizing this event and Mr. Mohan M. D. Tamilnadu public Transport appreciating the activities of Sathya Unar Sabha. The students were appreciative of the knowledge, experiences, and memories they gained during the event. Gurukulam was an excellent opportunity for the students to learn, grow, and network. The event was well-organized, informative, and inspiring, and it left a lasting impact on the participants. Sathya Unar Sabha deserves commendation for organizing such an engaging and meaningful event.
